Step 1: Open Notification Center on your iPhone by swiping down from the top of the screen. Should you leave your tinder notifications on, or off? Once I switched that setting, my audio notifications returned for both messages and emails!

Liz Not sure if this was mentioned or not, but if you want to get notifications on both your iPhone and your Apple Watch, just turn off wrist detection on the Watch. Sure, this disables some abilities, like Apple Pay and wrist detection, amongst others, but it does allow you to get a notification on both devices. I finally got mine to work again. I followed everything in the post save a soft or hard system reset. Then I tried a forced restart. After I forced restart I checked my notifications in the message app again. I turned them back on and now it works again. Trust me I checked the app notifications in message plenty of times and even tried cycling them several times. And, if you have a lot of notifications iOS 11 put them into a sort of waiting room, that is accessed from the lock screen by swiping from the middle of your screen to the top of the screen. This does not erase any data or documents photos, videos, books, and so forth but it does remove any special settings, like WiFi passwords, accessibility settings, and other setting customizations.
